Who can apply?
South Australian organisations:
- Non-government (not-for-profit) including business associations and community groups
- Business (for profit)
- Local government
- State government.
What will be funded?
Projects that address disaster resilience in communities by:
- improving preparedness
- building capacity and /or capability, and
- increasing resilience.
Priority will be given to projects that:
- show strategic alignment to any of the following:
- National Strategy for Disaster Resilience - priority themes
- South Australia’s Disaster Resilience Strategy 2019-24 - focus areas
- People at Risk in Emergencies Framework for South Australia - approaches
- address community needs
- cover more than one type of disaster e.g. extreme heat, bushfire, storm
- engage with a wide range of communities and/or organisations
- support other communities and/or organisations involved in public safety
- produce outcomes that are sustainable over the long-term
- show strategic alignment to any of the following:
Existing programs or services, or projects that deliver commercial advantage will not be funded.

Expression of Interest describing proposed activities with the following elements are sought:
- Shared responsibility
- Collaboration across sectors and effective community engagement
- Alignment /integration with State Emergency Management arrangements
- Sustainable public benefit
- Enhancing preparedness
- Innovative approach
- Enhancing community resilience
- Reducing community risks
